How to do Hair Braiding

Braid has a timeless appeal and it is so pretty to wear, but doing hair braiding is a bit hard especially to those who are beginners. But practice makes perfect as what they say. So all you have to do is to practice it and everything will follow. Here are some simple steps in braiding your hair.

Step 1: For the easiest version of the three-strand braid, position yourself in front of a mirror and bring all of your hair over one shoulder to the front.

Brush your hair to remove all the tangles, having ever so slightly damp and smooth hair makes braiding a lot easier.

Step 2: Divide your hair into three individual strands; left, middle, and right.

Step 3: Take the left section and cross it over the middle one. Then take the right strand, and cross it over the new middle strand. You’ve created the first stitch in your three-strand braid and then continue.

Step 4: Keep crossing and alternating all the way down. Only pick up hair from the side you need and make sure that you do not gather the hair that may have strayed from the other side of the head. This will result in an uneven braid. So be sure to pull the braid tightly with each stitch to achieve a neat look.

Step 5: When it’s almost done, be sure to secure your braid with a small elastic.

These are just simple tips and hope it could help you. If you still find it difficult to do hair braiding alone, you can consult experts to help you.
